A clear run from brief to data

Fieldwork is the part of research most likely to go wrong. A clear process is the single biggest thing that stops it happening. Here is ours.

STEP 1

Brief and scope

Every project starts with clarity. We take the time to understand your objectives, audience definition, methodology requirements and commercial context before anything else moves. Feasibility, timelines and operational requirements are agreed upfront and documented, not renegotiated under pressure later. If something does not look achievable in the window you need, we will tell you now rather than surprise you halfway through.

STEP 2

Recruit

Structured screening against behavioural, demographic and usage criteria. We recruit from our 25,000-strong UK community and supplement with bespoke external sourcing when the brief calls for specialist or hard-to-reach audiences. Participation frequency is monitored to prevent overuse. Quotas are managed actively. Attendance is tracked from the moment a time slot is confirmed, not just on the day.

STEP 3

Prepare

Venues, product handling, materials, equipment and preparation protocols are coordinated in advance and rehearsed where needed. For CLTs, that means sample storage, portioning, rotation orders and serving conditions locked down before the first participant arrives. For HUTs, it means fulfilment, packaging, delivery tracking and participant instructions all confirmed. Consistency across sessions is the whole point of preparation, and we treat it accordingly.

STEP 4

Field

Sessions are delivered with direct operational oversight and real communication. Attendance is monitored in real time. If someone drops out, we know immediately and have a contingency. Product handling, rotation and data capture follow the protocols agreed at setup. Issues are addressed quickly and honestly, not buried in a debrief.

STEP 5

Hand over

Structured feedback is captured securely and mapped cleanly against your agreed data structure. Data files are delivered in the formats you asked for, on time, ready for analysis. No chasing. No reformatting. No surprises, unless they are nice ones.

Governance and communication

Every project is assigned a named point of contact and dedicated operational oversight. You get proactive status updates at agreed intervals, early warning of any issues and alignment against the milestones we set at the start. Fieldwork sits inside broader commercial programmes. Our job is to deliver reliably so you can plan confidently around us.
